Cambodian Children's Trust

From the beginning, THE UPSIDE has understood that how we move through the world matters. From our very first day of trading right through to the present, we donate $1 from every transaction to Cambodian Children’s Trust. CCT is a non-profit child protection organisation based in Battambang, Cambodia.

Tara Winkler was just 19 when she set off on the trip to Cambodia that would change her life. After coming across an orphanage where funds were embezzled and young girls sexually abused, she set up her own orphanage in the city of Battambang in 2007. Fourteen years later, the organisation she created is no longer an orphanage but a community-led ‘Village Hive’ model that empowers and enables vulnerable families to stay together. CCT provides help to poor families and supports hundreds of children each day.
