5 minute HIIT workout with Charlotte Barge

Instructor Charlotte Barge, loves variation in her training HIIT, Pilates, barre, boxing, as well as a good old hill session/run.

“It’s what helps to keep my mind clear and body feeling strong and healthy!” she says.

For those of you who love a challenge, Charlotte has designed a 5-minute workout, comprising of 4 exercises (each exercise repeated for 30 seconds) for 2 rounds.

This work out is a total of 4 minutes and a 1-minute cardio finisher at the end, designed so you can add on more time, if you like. For example, add on another 4 minutes and do an 8-minute round and then add a 2-minute cardio finisher at the end to take it to 10 minutes.

Add it to your routine 2-3 times per week if you’re after results, this will help you build your fitness up, tone and strengthen your arms.

Charlotte’s tip to guarantee effectiveness, “It’s such a short workout, so technique is so important. Getting technique right at the start is the key to it and once you get the combos right, add the speed or add more on to keep your heart rate up.

Because when you are fatigued you also have to try to think of what you need to be doing like the technique and combos, which makes the workout extra challenging.”

Charlotte wears MATTE TECH for her HIIT workout.
